This is a cover art for the fourth opus of the "death gate" novel by Weis and Hickman.

In this book, there are small medieval submarines surrounded by giant snakes.
I tried to render the deep aquatic feelings and the huge scale difference. I've been helped by masana and frood priceless advices on this one.
This was all done in photoshop in about 2 days.
